Roy, great to hear from you again. Sunday morning coffee is my favorite read with my coffee. Happy you are still the literary agent & with a sense of humor.
Have seen Barry three times now. The first in 81. Before the show we had dinner and I gave my future wife an engagement ring. The second time in 2002 and his show was as spectacular as the first. The third time Ruth Ann and I drove to Vegas, met her friends for dinner..no engagement ring this time and we were amazed almost 45 years later what a fantastic show he did. Wish he did all his commercials but I don't think many folks remember... Give your face something to smile about. With Stridex.
As always you deliver a welcomed reminder that like is not all about politics. By the way thanks for convincing me that Vegas is not my next move. Be well my friend.
Sorry for the tardy read and comment. It has been quite a busy week. Saw Barry Manilow years ago and loved the performance. .... And about White Lotus and 1923. My wife and I have figured out some of the plot twists before they happen. Don't know if we are long in the tooth and there can only be so many situations that can be recycled or that the writers might be running out of ideas. White Lotus is always about who is going to die, usually in the final episode. Similar things for 1923 or anything in the Yellowstone universe. The season took so long on the journey for the two lovebirds, and there was more action in just half hour of the finale than there was in the first six episoides of the season. But it was enjoyable, and I guess that is the bottom line.
Thanks Mike. Great stuff as always. John Jeansonne, who I don’t know, and I had a Substack chat last week and your name came up. We both have great respect for you and your career.
Go Cubbies!!!
MAFA- second that!
Always an entertaining read. Kudos. Reading your posts keeps me connected to the mainland. Stay well.
You might qualify as a 'Fanilow' if you see Barry again.
Ovechkin did not to go on the ice for the record at the end of the game when they pulled the goalie and the net was empty.
That's very classy!
