Well said, Roy . . . and a great detailed trip down historical memory lane. I particularly like the ‘double dose of rum’ for the militia on the lines. I will never take my birth certificate for granted and don’t need a fireworks display to remind me to celebrate that. I do, however, think Larry David left out one important correction to the declaration and that is identifying a ‘hot dog’ as part of a food group. Please tell me who in the Nathan’s Hot Dog PR universe created such a gut wrenching contest? Hope you and Andi had burgers yesterday and a good old fashioned slice of apple pie!
