I'm imaging the Knievel family buying the lot on the OTHER SIDE of your house with built-in ramps from their bedrooms so they jump over you guys every morning at 7.
That must have been one hell of a baseball game! As for greatest game ever pitched, Harvey Haddix should probably be in that conversation. I miss that kind of baseball too:
One thing I can't understand about paraphernalia giveaways. Why do they only give away gifts to the first seventeen thousand? How do you explain to a little kid you were number 17,001 and two?
Thanks to Roy and Andi for putting the Happy Together evening "together." It was a true blast from the past ! A sold out event. Flattered to have made it into SMC !
I knew nothing about the oldies concert at the Smith Center. I certainly would have gone with you or met you there. I also remember the Spahn/Marichal game.
Pittsburgh should have given the whole Yankee’s team
Thanks for the warning about Hertz. I will avoid them no matter what airport I am at. Yeah, when a pitcher gets to 80 pitches, announcers start wondering when they are going to be relieved. Then comes a parade of relievers. I remember reading in The Sporting News when I was a teenager that one reader said he would leave a baseball game if there were five pitchers used. Man, today, he wouldn't last past the fifth, six or seventh inning. But I understand where he is coming from.

I really enjoy this week’s commentary. They were very entertaining.
Always entertaining - makes me miss the good US of A from half-way across the world. Keep them coming.

Ron- In the case of the Pittsburgh giveaway I would want to be #17001.
I recall going to see the Padres on hoodie day. They ran out and gave coupons. I think I got about five coupons that day!
As far as the Hulkster professional wrestling hasn't killed any wrestlers, but they've killed many wrestlers. We all know what that means.
I remember Bill was a huge fan!

And flattered you and Ted joined us, Ms Lisa!
Didn’t finish.
Pittsburgh should have given the fans the whole Yankee’s team as bobbleheads. They deserve to be called bobbleheads.

I was 11 when Spahn/Marichal happened but you are seven years older than me and not surprised you remember it. Give us back that baseball!

Mike, one day when you and I get together for a drink we’ll close the place!
