I know. I’ve listened to you for too long…

Great nuggets this week. Particularly like the shout out to Rachel Robinson. Of course you did let your grumpy old guy self out of the closet with those remarks about the modern show boating after home runs. And good luck finding the right gas stations and restaurants.

Hell of a complete game by Dylan Cease yesterday! 120 pitches! Frightening for some!

LeBron

..aka Aaron Rodgers...James.

I saw the Cease stats. Impressive. Otherwise, where have you gone JoeD?

Ruth Ann and I went to the Bowl to see Smokey. 86 years old and still does a great show.

i would like to know the statistics on the number of complete games from a pitcher over the past 5 years..i bet it has gone down every year since 2020

Doc-you ask, we research. Over the last five seasons there have been 185 complete games, a bit more than I might have guessed. From 1965-69 there were 4,100. Enough said.

Good one scribe! How about the 🐴💩 antics after one of them gets a hit, or a home run when they put some crap on their head or around their neck! I don’t like it!⚾️⚾️⚾️

In the words of Richard Nixon let me make this "PERFECTLY CLEAR." The ONLY reason Lebron

chose the 76ers has everything to do with the only thing he's concerned about......HIS LEGACY!

If he takes the 76ers all the way to the NBA championship, he will be the only player in NBA history to win the title with FOUR DIFFERENT TEAMS!! Miami Heat.....Cleveland Cavs....L.A Lakers and finally the 76ers.

Herbie-if he can take them to the promised land he deserves all the plaudits he gets. However, I would fade Philly. Too many others team just as or even more talented and then there is the Embiid factor- how many games will he actually play this season before injury hits like every year?

Great coverage as always. Rumour has it LeBron was ready to join the Warriors but they failed to acquire AD so LBJ decided to look elsewhere. Few saw Philly beating out Miami. Stay tuned.
