Not exactly the Lakers but this weekend I will be at the initial match of the San Diego Growlers. Their first match is against Carolina in the brand new Ultimate Frisbee League!
A little not-so-trivial-trivia: The guy who used to sell us billboard space for Tucson Greyhound Park was Arte Moreno. The same Arte Moreno who owns the California Angels.
How interesting. Yes, very familiar with Moreno and his background. Interesting our Tucson Greyhound Park money launched him. Shouldn’t that be included in his Wiki profile?

Welcome home, Roy, and welcome to the Baseball Hall of Fame Club. I was shocked to read it was your inaugural visit. Having been 3 times I can’t wait for your future SMC blog about your impressions. I am a lover of upstate NY, especially Cooperstown, and no one has to twist my arm to go back and walk through the exhibits of that hallowed Museum. I can't wait till you take Harley to her first ballgame whether it’s the Dodgers, or the Yankees. My father dragged me when I was five and the love of the game “stuck.”
Carole- The HOF was overwhelming. I don’t care how long you visit, you’ll never soak it all in. Harley’s first ballgame with me will not be the Dodgers! Thanks as always for the note.
Roy, The one to watch is 19 yr old Porter Martone with the Flyers. The kid is really good. They brought him up just 2 wks ago & he has not let them down. The Penguins play dirty but they didn’t stop him from helping his team to a big win last night.

Steve- Make sure you take Sheila to Luger’s in Caesars that’s been open for a year or so. It was excellent and much better atmosphere than Brooklyn.

Can’t wait for hockey playoffs
starting tonight with VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS. As you said no better playoffs exist in all four major sports.
